Shakesh Singh is a chef, a food photographer, and a trainer. He is author of four cookbooks — Simplifying Indian Cuisine, Bhansaghar, Baby Food and The Forgotten Recipes
He is presently working as Assistant Director with ITI Culinary Kaushal College, Ranchi. Being associated with PanIIT Alumni Foundation he has found his true passion in working for upliftment of the underprivileged section of society.
He has also worked with BCIHCT, New Delhi and Chandigarh College of Hospitality, Mohali. Prior to academics, he mastered the finer aspects of Indian cuisine at the Bukhara, in ITC Maurya, New Delhi.
He enjoys discovering culinary heritage, documenting them, and bringing them to food connoisseurs. His documented work — Bhansaghar is the first cookbook of Bihar and was very instrumental in conceptualizing Magadh and Awadh, Gurugram (Award winning fine dine regional restaurant). He also helps and mentors people, to realize their dream of owning a food business and running it successfully.
As a part of his Academic pursuits, he is a hotel management graduate from IHM Ahmedabad and an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad and hold a master’s degree in history and tourism from Annamalai University. He is also pursuing his PhD from Subharti University, Meerut.
Shakesh was awarded as educator of the year — 2016, by international society for hospitality education. He is life member of Indian Culinary Forum and Indian Trainers Association.
